Family owned and operated for over 45 years, Crystal Gardens is a unique garden center that features captivating indoor and outdoor garden spaces for your own ideas to take hold. Walk through their Herb & Water Garden with its rolling stream, koi pond, miniature waterfalls, and bridges. Their three-story Barn Swallow Antique and Gift Shop carries unique treasures, vintage clothing, art, and jewelry. Stop in at the Rock Shop and watch as they cut, tumble and polish stones. The Rock Shop carries Petoskey stones, native Michigan copper, petrified wood, driftwood, beach glass, agates, amethyst and items made from natural stone. They also feature a variety of fluorescent minerals like a newly discovered rock called Yooperlites. Within the main garden center there is a delightful fairy garden with tiny plants displayed in adorable garden scenes. Their Nature Exhibit, which now has a gift shop, is open from mid-June through Labor Day and features native butterflies, turtles, toads, ants, a bunny and a majestic peacock who proudly prances and occasionally displays a bright green and blue fan of wings. Crystal Gardens also has a greenhouse full of wonderful cactus and succulents.
